This level of training is for the
practitioner who intends to practice Bowenwork®
professionally.
This standard is uniform throughout the world.
The BTAA (Bowen Therapy Academy of
Australia) refers prospective clients to fully accredited
practitioners in three ways:
- requests made of the
regional office (Bowenwork Academy USA) in Prescott AZ, and
- word of mouth by
students and practitioners worldwide who read the professional
journal Bowens Hands, which they receive as part of their
annual registration.
The requirements for full
accreditation are:
- satisfactory completion
of a 2-day Module 7 class with an assessing instructor. This
thorough practical assessment covers every procedure taught in
the Modules 1-6.
* at least 100 hours' study of
anatomy and physiology
* business experience/skills or
study (20 hours minimum)
* current certification in CPR
Note: At present there are four
assessing instructors in the U.S.; the maximum number of students
either of them can assess in a single Module 7 class is 12. As a
result, students who are fully prepared for assessment may have to
wait a few months and/or travel longer distances for a Module 7
class.
Continuing Education is required to
maintain accreditation. See details at
clicking on the CE Requirements
tab.
Note: Only
active (fee and CE hours are current) professional
Bowenwork
practitioners are listed for referrals on the Bowtech®
and Bowenwork
websites; and only those
practitioners are eligible to enroll in either of the Specialized
Procedures Classes.
