Bowen Hands
Journal
All currently
registered students/practitioners receive quarterly issues each year of
the BTAA’s journal called Bowen Hands. This is a
wonderful resource to stay current on what is happening with Bowen all
over the world. It is filled with testimonials, pictures and articles authored by
our practitioners and instructors. For example, the March 2007 issue
featured an article by Dan Amato, a Bowenwork Academy USA instructor, entitled, “How to
Deal with Strong Reactions to Bowenwork”. The June issue
features another article by Dan entitled, "Hypothesis for how Bowenwork®
Works".

"Let's Talk About Stress" by Sandra Gustafson, BSN, RN, ND - Many
stressed-out people feel achy and stiff in their muscles and joints,
their posture changes under the burden of their situations, which in
turn leads to feeling burned out, and the cycle of pain is exacerbated.
Bowenwork is a unique and unusual form of soft-tissue bodywork that is
very effective in relaxing muscle tension and reducing the body's stress
levels.

"Stress Management
Doesn't Just Happen" by Sandra Gustafson, BSN, RN, ND - Both the
Centers for Disease Control and the National Institute of Occupational
Safety and Health, in their studies on stress, have found that
stress-related depression is predicted to be the leading occupational
disease of the 21st century.....Bowenwork is a gentle bodywork technique
that resets dysfunctional tension patterns in muscles and nerves that
are causing discomfort and pain. It relaxes the whole body in a
very profound way and facilitates the body to start healing
itself--however, you do not need to be sick or in pain to benefit from
Bowenwork -- everybody is better with Bowenwork!

Bowenwork Writing Campaign
Thank you for offering to write in
order to help "Bowenwork" become as well known throughout the U.S.
as it deserves to be. You don't have to be a
"writer" to be effective in this promotional letter-writing
campaign. You just have to be willing to write a brief letter -- to
a writer or editor -- to get them interested in Bowenwork.
BAUSA's letter-writing campaign is collaborative, involving as many
practitioners, students, instructors and even clients as are willing
to participate. We hope that after reading this information (and
attachment) you will start right away to help raise public awareness
of Bowenwork.
We (and hopefully you, too) will be
writing to two groups of people:
-
editors of national mainstream,
general audience, and niche publications
-
free-lance writers with interest
and experience in writing about health, especially alternative
We are focusing on gaining nationwide exposure
because of the huge "trickle-down" effect to local practitioners
from national exposure. Our Administrative Assistant says that 99%
of the telephone inquiries she receives come from one publication --
David J Rowen's Second Opinion. Reprints have a long
shelf-life, and we can post the resulting articles on
this site and
www.Bowenwork.com,
with links to those publications from Facebook, etc.
There may be significant lead-time before anything appears in
print as a result of this campaign, but we believe the payoff will
be worth everyone's effort, including yours.
Click
here for suggestions on how to get articles about Bowenwork in
national publications.
